Songs From Bird Avenue features the words and music to 16 early songs, originally released as two albums, Michael Smith and Love Stories, later combined into one Flying Fish CD: Michael Smith).

The book includes sheet music and hand-drawn illustrations by the author, as well as a chord chart for easy reference.
